Quinta da Regaleira is a Portugal estate located near the historic center of Sintra in Portugal. It is a cultural World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a major tourist attractions of Sintra. The site has a vast array of exquisite constructions. This palace is known as “The Palace of Monteiro the Millionaire” based on the name of its former owner Antonio Augusto Carvalho Monteiro. It was designed by the Italian architect Luigi Manini. The palace has five floors (ground, 3 upper levels, and basement). The ground floor connects the living room, dining room, billiards room, balcony, some smaller rooms and many stairways. The 1st upper floor has bedrooms and a dressing room. The 2nd upper floor has Carvalho Monteiro’s office and female servant room. The 3rd upper floor has the ironing room and access to a terrace. The basement contains the male servant rooms, a kitchen and storage rooms.
